The
Red Shutter Inn & Restaurant is a handsome colonial
structure built in 1894. Located on 4 +- acres at the edge of
a traditional three season, ski resort village in Southern Vermont.
The ski resort of Mount Snow
is only minutes away, with all this major ski area has to offer.
Less than 4 hours from NYC and under 3 hours from Boston.
The Inn & Carriage House have 9 comfortably decorated en-suite
guest rooms including 2 suites. Some rooms have a fireplace,
whirlpool tub, air conditioning and all have TV.
The main house has tall ceilings and a lovely living room with
fireplace and conversation areas. Off of the lounge is the fully
licensed Cocktail Bar with its original tin ceiling, the Skip
Morrow Cartoon room and the 52 seat fireplaced and air-conditioned
dining room, which also incorporates an outside dining deck.
In
addition to serving inn guests, both the dining room and cocktail
bar are open for public dining. Located just behind the Inn
is the Carriage House of the same vintage. It has been recently
renovated to welcome visitors with its three Guest rooms &
1 Suite with fireplace, 2-person whirlpool bath with skylight
overhead for star gazing.
Owners accomodation are large, comfortable and include one master
bedroom, living room and private bath there is a second bedroom
for the owners suite currently used as a massage salon for guests.
This complete operation features a newly installed, fully-equipped
massage salon. The Red Shutter Inn is a great location for intimate
functions, romantic getaways and small weddings.
Nearby to first class downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling,
golf, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, Marlboro Music Festival,
antique shops and historic sights.
