Vermont Studio Tour
This year 264 sites around the state of Vermont will partake in the
16th Annual Open Studio Weekend Tour on May 24th and 25th
from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
The event, sponsored by the Vermont Crafts Council, focuses on the educational
aspect of each artist’s craft or talent,
with demonstrations of the work that they do, and is free to the public.
Two of the artists participating in the tour this year Skip Morrow and
Ann Coleman presently have their artwork on display in our inn,
and we will have maps available to anyone wishing to take the tour.
The Art of Humor Gallery, a collection of “seriously funny fine art”, features originals and limited edition giclee prints by cartoonist Skip Morrow. In addition to his framed artwork, Skip, a New York Times best selling author, has illustrated numerous books, greetings cards, magazine articles, and advertisements for major publishers and corporations, such as Recycled Paper Greetings, Random House, Nynex, Hitachi, Frito Lay, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Duracell, CBS, IBM and others. Skip will be demonstrating the process of creating his computer generated giclee prints, from pencil sketch, to digital rendoring, to final print. While visiting his gallery, please enjoy the view of the 15-acre grounds with gardens, hiking trails and architecture designed by Skip and wife Laraine.
